Prolific Audio was founded in early 2021 by sound engineer/producer/musician Jonathan Urwin. We specialise (but not limited to) heavy rock/extreme metal genres, offering a variety of services for bands/projects who wish to achieve hard-hitting sonic fury! We also offer production tips & sound design services to suit your projects needs (refer to our portfolio for examples of our work).
Let's face it: Most of us in a band these days are able to record from home thanks to modern era technology. Gone are the days of having to book extravagant, expensive studios.

Reamping
Not happy with your tone? Lacking a certain something? Using your raw DI files, Prolific Audio has a variety of methods to get you the tone you want, including reamping with actual real amps & pedals or through a variety of modern amp sims & IR loaders. The sky is the limit!
Mixing
Get you projects mixed in an ardent, creative environment with Prolific Audio. The goal is to provide our clients at all times with a mix that best reflects your ideas & visions, getting the best results possible for your music/projects at an affordable price, all whilst utilising the latest in production techniques & audio gear.

About Me
My name is Jonathan Urwin - I'm a producer, mix/mastering engineer, musician & have been working in the scene over the last 10+ years.
​
Originally I started out as a musician playing in numerous bands, touring acts & always had a strong passion for writing/music composition. Having a good ear for music and my keen interest in writing turned me on to the world of sound production, and it has since become my first and foremost love. This led me to pursue my tertiary education in the field in order to refine my skills and take it to the next level, engaging in various sound design projects for short film/TV and recording artists ranging from a variety of genres.
